John Hart

Experience

Mr. Hart is a Managing Director of P&M Corporate Finance (PMCF) and leads the firm’s Plastics & Packaging team. He has over 15 years of professional experience advising clients with company sales, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalization transactions and financings.  Mr. Hart specializes in assisting companies that operate in the plastics and packaging industries and has led the successful completion of more than 19 transactions in these industries over the last 5 years.  He has also provided strategic advisory to numerous companies to assist shareholders with planning for an ultimate sale.  Mr. Hart’s clients have included entrepreneurs, family owned businesses, large international companies and private equity groups. Example clients include rigid plastic packaging (injection molded closures, blow molded bottles, thermoformed containers, corrugated boxes & kits, etc.), flexible packaging (extruded film & sheet), engineered plastic components (injection molded & extrusion assemblies), raw materials, and other manufacturing processes. 

 

Mr. Hart has authored over 25 plastics and packaging industry M&A reports and is a frequent speaker at plastics and packaging industry trade conferences including for Plastics News. He has also contributed to numerous articles and industry reports relating to plastics and packaging M&A.  Mr. Hart’s network includes many of the strategic players and private equity groups in the plastics and packaging industries.

Prior to joining P&M Corporate Finance, Mr. Hart served as President of a privately held distribution company where he provided strategic direction, operational leadership, and assistance with the ultimate sale of the company. Mr. Hart also worked in the Corporate Value Consulting Group at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Hart has a bachelor’s degree in accounting with a finance emphasis from Michigan State University, and is a licensed securities representative, holding his Series 7, 24, and 63 registrations.
