I help individuals, families, trusts, and businesses identify solutions to build, preserve, and maximize their capital while navigating the tension of their income and transfer tax exposure.
With more than 10 years of experience at Plante Moran, I focus on income tax planning and compliance for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and other closely held businesses, as well as the integration of these elements for estate planning purposes. My main client base includes entrepreneurs, real estate professionals, and sports and entertainment figures, or often, a combination of the three.
As the son of a schoolteacher, my goal is to educate, empower, and equip my clients with the knowledge they need so they can make the best decisions for their specific situation. My colleagues know me for my calm temperament, sense of humor, and my desire to make things right. I was originally attracted to this career because of the relationships, including connecting with and helping people solve problems.
I serve as the president on the board of the Denver Estate Planning Council and as an elder at my church. I received my B.B.A. and M.Acc. from Texas Christian University.
When I’m not at work, I love to golf and watch college football. (Go Frogs!) I enjoy traveling and camping and spend most of my free time with my wife and three kids.
