Experience
As a partner in the firm’s wealth management practice, I serve as my clients’ personal CFO, tailoring financial plans to help them achieve their short- and long-term goals. I offer holistic and objective guidance on investments, retirement, estate planning, charitable giving, and taxes. High-net-worth individuals and families, such as small business owners, medical professionals, and private equity professionals, rely on me for comprehensive, customized wealth strategies.
Clients appreciate my consistency, unbiased recommendations, and responsiveness to their needs. As a member of the firm’s technology management, AI governance, and wealth management innovation committees, I help guide the firm’s technology and AI strategy to elevate the client experience. With more than 15 years in the industry, one of my greatest accomplishments has been implementing the latest technology to help our advisors stay connected to clients and deliver best-in-class service.
Growing up in a family that owned and operated a small business gave me a front-row seat to the dedication and sacrifice required to keep a business thriving. This experience inspired me to pursue a career dedicated to assisting entrepreneurs in planning for their future, so they can focus on building their businesses today. Around the office, I’m known for exploring creative solutions to challenges and my enthusiasm to try new things, especially new ways to use technology. I’m proud to have received the Harry W. Buttorf Award in 2014, an award given to one staff member each year within wealth management as recognition for creativity, innovation, ingenuity, and enthusiasm in the industry.
I earned my B.S. in finance from Oakland University and now sit on the university’s Accounting and Finance Advisory Board. I’m a member of the CFA Society of Detroit and of the client advisory board for Powerfi.com. I’m often invited to speak to high school and college students about careers in wealth management and the real-world applications of data analytics in finance. Within the community, I’m a member of the Knights of Columbus - Holy Name Parish in Birmingham, Mich., an organization that provides volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families, and young people.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two children, watching my son’s hockey games, walking our dog, playing golf, and immersing myself in landscape photography and travel.
