As a lifelong student of the financial markets, I quickly learned that the financial services industry is one of the most confusing sectors of the economy. I wanted to do things differently. Being a financial advisor with Plante Moran provides me the opportunity to help those who don't have the time or the expertise to do it themselves. I love that my career allows me to build sincere, lasting relationships with clients. I’m even happy to spend time with the younger generation in a client’s family, to equip them with a strong financial knowledge base.
I enjoy working with the next generation of leaders in this field. I'm often asked to speak to college students at Oakland University, providing my experience in the finance industry and answering questions about career opportunities in the field. I also participate in Plante Moran's internal training programs, helping to position new managers for success.
I’m proud to be a recipient of the Harry W. Buttorf Award, given to one staff member each year within Wealth Management as recognition for creativity, innovation, ingenuity, and enthusiasm. I received my B.S. in finance from Oakland University.
I spend most of my free time with my wife. We usually end up in downtown Rochester, work on projects around the house, or find excuses to travel.
