Most people are surprised to learn that I grew up on a farm. I learned the value of hard work by watching my father and mother pour sweat, tears, and love into the land.

Experience

I’m the Toledo office tax director and I serve as the lead tax relationship advisor with all of my clients. I serve as their technical specialist and provide them tax-planning opportunities to help reduce their business and individual tax burden.

My clients include professional and business service firms, franchisors and franchisees; owner-managed manufacturing and distribution entities; and PEG-owned entities. Many of my clients are multi-state organizations with international operations.

I’ve always enjoyed working with numbers, and being able to combine that with helping clients solve their tax and business issues is a bonus. I also enjoy the variety of clients and projects that I’m able to work on. With more than 20 years of experience in public accounting in the tax area, one of my greatest accomplishments is being asked to serve as tax director for the Toledo Office.

I belong to the AICPA, the Ohio Society of CPAs, and the Toledo Chamber of Commerce, where I sit on the tax committee and the levy review committee. I’m also a board member for the Perrysburg Rotary Club and I’m a member of Epworth United Methodist Church where I sit on the finance committee and the children’s discipleship committee. I received my B.B.A. and my M.B.A. from the University of Toledo.

My free time is generally spent enjoying family activities with my husband and two kids, Caleb and Joey. When I have some free time to myself, I can usually be found with a book in my hands. I’ve been an avid reader since I was a child.
