I love going to Disney World. I’ve probably been there 25 times. I recently went with my husband (who had never been) and our two small children. Seeing the awe on their faces was priceless.

I’m a partner in the firm’s employee benefits consulting group and a firmwide technical leader on reporting and compliance issues for qualified retirement and health and welfare benefit plans. My experience includes preparing and reviewing Forms 5500, 8955-SSA, and 6042, advising on the design and administration of qualified retirement plans, and identifying and correcting compliance issues and plan operational errors.

My clients appreciate that I help them through their issues from start to finish. If I’m unable to personally answer a question, I connect them to the right person within the firm who can.

I love analyzing clients’ problems and helping them create solutions. I have a math background, which helps since this field involves more math and analysis than one might guess. I also love getting to work with clients every day.

With more than 10 years’ experience, I lead the firm’s Form 5500 practice and have presented at numerous webinars, written articles, and spoken at various seminars on the topic. I received my B.S. in actuarial science and statistics from Central Michigan University.

I’m a former member of AICPA’s Form 5500 Proposal Task Force, where I worked to develop the AICPA responses to the Department of Labor and other governmental agencies’ two significant proposed changes to regulations and Form 5500. I’m a member of an ad hoc group of benefit plan service providers and Form 5500 preparers, which meets regularly to collaborate and discuss upcoming accounting and regulatory changes that help the participating providers deliver optimal service to their respective clients.

I have two small children, so most of my free time is spent with them and my husband. We love to travel up north in Michigan in the summer to enjoy the beaches, hiking, biking, wineries, and craft breweries.
