Aaron McKee

As a leader in our assurance practice, I specialize in accounting, financial reporting, and overall engagement management. I regularly assist clients with the complexities of U.S. GAAP and IFRS accounting requirements, working collaboratively with our team to deliver quality and efficient service throughout the audit engagement. As a benefit plan audit specialist (BPAS), I also manage client benefit plan audits, including defined contribution and defined benefit plans. The majority of my clients are automotive, food and beverage, and plastics companies within the manufacturing and distribution industry, ranging from internationally owned subsidiaries to family-owned businesses. On top of having significant experience supporting Japanese-owned and European-owned companies, I’m also currently in a technical fellowship devoted to international standards and component audit engagements, bringing even greater insights to my clients. Clients appreciate my accessibility, proactivity, and in-depth knowledge of their business. I stay involved throughout the year to address questions in real-time and avoid surprises at year-end. With more than a decade of professional experience, I consider one of my greatest accomplishments helping turn complex accounting and operational topics into easy practical solutions for clients. Around the office, I’m known for being a resource on audit and technical matters and for being committed, enthusiastic, and hard-working.

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business economics from The College of Wooster, and I hold a master’s degree in accounting from The Ohio State University. I’m a member of the AICPA and the The Ohio Society of CPAs. I also serve on the board and as treasurer for the Japan-America Society of Central Ohio (JASCO), a nonprofit committed to enriching lives by connecting Ohio’s Japanese and American communities.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and friends, watching Cleveland Guardians games, and playing softball and soccer.
