Headshot of Jonathan Grossman.

To me, there is no greater television show than Seinfeld. I have seen each episode more than I care to admit.  “The Opposite” is my favorite episode because, for once, everything goes right for George.

Experience

As a Principal within Plante Moran Trust, N.A., I work with high-net-worth individuals and their families to provide professional fiduciary guidance that eases the family’s burden of administering their wealth. My expertise includes trust and family office administration, estate planning, as well as tax and investment consulting.

I love working with people. I view a trust document as a story that someone is telling their family members, and I consider it an honor that I get to carry out the wishes in their story. My clients view me as not only a technical specialist, but as a highly responsive and consultative part of their family team. Wealth can often become adversarial, particularly between a trustee and a beneficiary. We strive to avoid this issue at Plante Moran Trust, N.A. by providing hands-on communication, education, and coaching to our beneficiaries and with individual trustees.

I have a B.S. in business from Indiana University and a JD and LLM in tax law from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. I’m a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor and a member of the networking and diversity committees for the Chicago Estate Planning Council.

My wife and I live in Chicago's Ukrainian Village neighborhood with our dog Eleanor. We both love to travel, and our goal is to travel abroad at least once per year. I’m also a huge sports fan, namely of my hometown Cincinnati Bengals.
