Before consulting, I was an NCAA Division I All-American track athlete. I was even inducted into the DePaul University Athletics Hall of Fame. The values that fueled my athletic career now drive my professional career, like my motivation to help clients and my commitment to supporting my family.

As a principal in the firm’s management consulting practice, I help organizations strengthen their cybersecurity programs and manage technology risk with confidence. I lead a wide range of cybersecurity services, including IT audits, regulatory compliance reviews (e.g., FFIEC, GLBA, FDICIA, and SOX), application security assessments, cyber risk assessments, framework reviews, incident response planning, business continuity and disaster recovery planning, and cybersecurity program and policy development. With more than a decade of cybersecurity consulting experience, I partner with clients against emerging cyber threats and help them prepare for, respond to, and recover from sophisticated cybersecurity incidents. While I serve clients across a variety of industries, my primary focus is helping community banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions develop cybersecurity strategies that drive meaningful and sustainable security transformation.

Clients appreciate my ability to turn complex cybersecurity regulations into practical, business-focused solutions. I strive to be a trusted advisor who provides candid guidance, actionable recommendations, and a long-term perspective shaped by years of helping other clients address a wide range of cybersecurity challenges. I was drawn to cybersecurity because of the intersection between technology, business, and problem-solving. What I find most compelling about cybersecurity is that it’s not just about defending against threats but also helping organizations confidently pursue their strategic goals in an increasingly complex digital world. That perspective continues to drive my passion in my work. Around the office, colleagues know me for being a collaborative leader, a trusted cybersecurity advisor, and someone who is always willing to collaborate and share knowledge.

I earned my B.S. in finance from DePaul University, and I’m a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). I’m also an active member of the ISACA, the global professional association for information security, governance, risk, and audit professionals, and I’m frequently invited to speak at state banking association conferences, client events, and industry forums on cybersecurity topics relevant to financial institution leaders, board members, and security and technology professionals.

Outside of work, my favorite role is being a husband and father. I enjoy spending time with my wife, Hannah, and my children, Wrenn and Kayden. I love watching them grow and experience new things. I’m also an avid golfer who appreciates the challenge, discipline, and lifelong pursuit of improvement that the game provides.
