Plante Moran announces new leadership changes

Plante Moran appoints 11 new leaders across its services, industries, and offices.

Southfield, Mich., July 1, 2026 — Plante Moran, a global accounting, tax, consulting and wealth management firm, has announced eleven new firm leadership positions, effective July 1.

Matthew Bohdan has taken on the role of market segment leader for the firm’s public sector practice. In his new role, Bohdan will lead the practice, focusing on its growth and development. He’ll also continue to provide risk management advisory services for public sector organizations. Bohdan succeeds Mike Riffel, who has taken on the role of transformation services practice leader.

Felicia Donaldson has assumed the role of risk and accounting services practice leader. In her new role, Felicia will set the strategy for the RAAS practice, support the growing team and ensure clients receive exceptional service. She’ll also continue to help her clients stabilize and optimize the accounting and finance functions of their manufacturing, consumer goods and business service companies. Felicia succeeds Tom Risi, who is preparing for retirement in January 2027.

Matt Dopp has taken on the role of the firm’s service industry group leader. In his new role, Dopp will set the strategy for the practice and oversee its team of experts dedicated to helping clients achieve their business goals. He’ll also continue to consult clients engaged in business-to-business transactions in a variety of service industry sectors. Dopp succeeds Kevin Flattery, who is preparing for retirement in June 2027.

Jean Hackstock has assumed the role of industry vertical leader for the firm’s construction industry. In her new role, Hackstock will set the strategy for the practice and oversee its team of experts dedicated to helping our clients achieve their business goals. She’ll also continue to serve audit and consulting clients within the construction industry.

Lesley McCarthy has assumed the role of transaction advisory services practice leader. In her new role, McCarthy will set the strategy for the TAS practice, support team development and growth and ensure clients receive premier service. She’ll also continue to work with supporting her clients in buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements. McCarthy succeeds Eric Wozniak.

Jeff McPherson has assumed the role of industry group leader for the firm’s energy practice. In his new role, McPherson will lead the strategic direction of the practice, building on a strong legacy while supporting continued growth and expanding the firm’s presence across the energy sector. He’ll also continue to advise public, private equity-owned, and privately held businesses in the energy sector on tax matters. McPherson succeeds Judy Cain, who retired in June 2026. 

Kelly Perlman has taken on the role of industry vertical leader for the firm’s real estate practice. In her new role, Perlman will guide the practice’s strategic direction while leading a team of professionals focused on supporting real estate clients in reaching their business objectives. She’ll also continue to serve as the regional leader of the real estate and construction industry group for Ohio.

Mike Riffel has assumed the role of the firm’s transformation services practice leader. In his new role, Riffel will set the strategy for the practice, support the growing team and ensure clients receive excellent service. He’ll also continue to work with public sector organizations from around the country to modernize their technology and operations. Riffel succeeds Dennis Bagley, who is preparing for retirement in April 2027.

Alejandro Rodriguez has assumed the role of global services practice leader. In this role, Rodriguez will lead the direction of the global services practice and guide its continued growth and development to help deliver a high-quality experience for clients. He’ll also continue his work helping clients explore, establish, launch and operate cross-border business ventures. Rodriguez succeeds Lou Longo, who is preparing for retirement in February 2027.

Mark Warner has assumed the role of information technology consulting (ITC) leader for the firm’s public sector practice. In his new role, Warner will set the strategy for the public sector practice of ITC, support the growing team and ensure clients receive outstanding service. He’ll also continue his work helping public sector clients around the United States modernize their technology. Warner succeeds Mike Riffel, who has taken on the role of transformation services practice leader. 

Micah Wheat has assumed the role of managing partner of the firm’s Chicago Riverside office where he’ll focus on developing and growing the firm’s Chicago staff as well as supporting the office’s practice development efforts. He’ll continue to serve on the tax leadership team overseeing our Illinois, Massachusetts and Ohio offices as well as serving on our service industry group leadership team focusing on business services and professional organizations. Wheat succeeds Tom Kinder, who is preparing for retirement in March 2027.
