As a member of Plante Moran’s management team, I work with our Michigan and Colorado offices to help guide and connect our leadership throughout the firm. We share best practices and solutions to common issues and help uphold our firmwide approach to client service.
I’m also the management team sponsor of our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council. Plante Moran is focused on creating a culture where all people feel accepted and valued. It’s exciting to be a part of the team that’s advancing our firm further on this journey.
Prior to joining the management team, I served as the firm’s real estate and construction industry leader. My clients often told me that they appreciated my innovative planning, deep industry knowledge, and that I listened to their concerns and offered suggestions on how to make their businesses great.
I’m passionate about helping all people, and I revel in opportunities where I can mentor staff. This is why I’m known for my open-door policy. Of course, always having a full jar of M&M’s in my office doesn’t hurt either.
For me, this job has always been about the people. When I went to my first interview, I thought the people felt like my friends and family and that I could see myself coming to work here. Three decades later, this remains true. Our firm has a positive morale that our clients have come to count on. They also know we remain invested in industry happenings and will always advocate on their behalf.
I’m a member of the AICPA, the MICPA, the Association of General Contractors, the Construction Financial Management Association, and the Detroit Area Construction Association. I hold a B.A. in accounting and marketing from Oakland University.
When I’m not working, I’m catching up on the latest movies or, weather permitting, golfing and enjoying time on our 28-foot boat.
