As COVID-19 continues to spread, the Trump administration has begun taking steps to mitigate its impact on Americans. Signed by the president on March 18, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act provides paid sick leave, free COVID-19 testing, expands food assistance and unemployment benefits, and requires employers to provide additional protections for health care workers. It has also been indicated that the April 15 due date for filing tax returns will be extended to July 15, 2020.
