Southfield, Mich., Sept. 13, 2017 - Plante Moran, one of the nation’s largest certified public accounting and business advisory firms, has announced 21 new partners in 11 offices.

Sylesh Babu, ACA, CPA, CFE, DiplFR, joined Plante Moran in 2001 and is based in the firm’s Chicago, Ill., office. He provides financial statement attestation services to businesses primarily in the manufacturing, distribution, and service industries. Babu received a bachelor of commerce degree from the PSG college of Arts and Science in Coimbatore, India. He resides in in Aurora, Ill.

Steven Bishop, CPA, joined Plante Moran in 2003 and is based in the firm’s Cincinnati, Ohio, office. Bishop leads the Cincinnati office service industry practice, as an advisor to manufacturing companies. He also serves in the higher education practice, where he helps institutions stay current on regulatory changes and work through federal award requirements related to student financial aid and research and development. Bishop holds a bachelor’s of science in accountancy from Calvin College. He resides in West Chester, Ohio.

Paul Blowers, joined Plante Moran in 2014 and is based in the firm’s Southfield, Mich., office. As Chief Information Officer, Blowers oversees the firm’s strategic technology vision. He has extensive experience in IT strategy and innovation, including cloud computing, mobile technology, data analytics, enterprise architecture, and large-scale business technology projects. Blowers earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Kalamazoo College and a master’s degree in business information technology from Walsh College. He resides in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.

Ryan Carroll, CPA, MBA, joined Plante Moran in 2000 and is based in the firm’s Chicago, Ill., office. He’s a leader within Plante Moran’s financial services group where he specializes in auditing private equity funds, venture capital funds, and alternative investment funds. Carroll holds a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. He resides in Glen Ellyn, Ill.

Jennifer Chambers, CPA, joined Plante Moran in 2001 and is based in the firm’s Auburn Hills, Mich., office. Chambers is a leader of the firm’s real estate group providing financial and tax expertise to real estate investment trusts (REITs), real estate investment funds, and commercial and multifamily real estate companies. Chambers also serves clients in the K-12 public education group. She holds a bachelor’s of science degree in accounting and finance from Oakland University. She currently resides in Washington Twp., Mich.

Mandy Chardoul, MST, CPA, CFP®, joined Plante Moran’s Wealth management industry group in 2005 and is based in the firm’s Grand Rapids, Mich., office. She is a leader within Plante Moran’s wealth management tax team, specializing in developing best practices around estate tax reduction, business transitions, insurance consulting, philanthropic planning, family governance, and fiduciary income taxation. Chardoul received a bachelor of arts degree from The Colorado College and a master of science in taxation degree from Grand Valley State University. She resides in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Dana Coomes, CPA, joined the Plante Moran in 2002 and is based in the firm’s Clinton Township, Mich., office. Coomes specializes in shrinking margins, escalating structural cost, global competition consulting, mergers and acquisitions, and business transaction concerns in the manufacturing, distribution, and higher education industries. She graduated from Oakland University with a bachelor’s of science degree in accounting. She resides in Macomb, Mich.

Kim Doyle, joined Plante Moran in 2011 and is based in the firm’s Southfield, Mich., office.She leads the firm’s supply chain and operations consulting services, helping client’s improve operational efficiency and boost profitability. Her clients range from the middle market to global, billion-dollar corporations that are public and privately owned. Doyle has a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan. She resides in Novi, Mich.

Jodi Grant, CPA, joined Plante Moran in 2011 and is based in the firm’s Elgin, Ill., office.Grant provides exceptional tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to globally active, middle-market businesses. She specializes in outbound operations, inbound operations, global tax strategy, and meeting U.S tax compliance requirements. Grant received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Iowa. She resides in Barrington, Ill.

Jeremy S. Herman, CPA, joined Plante Moran in 2004 and is based in the firm’s Cleveland, Ohio, office. He is the tax director of the Cleveland office, specializing in advising business owners and executives on proper tax compliance, maximizing cash flow through tax planning and consulting. Herman also co-leads the firm’s national healthcare for-profit tax practice. He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Miami University in Ohio. He resides in Broadview Heights, Ohio.

Brian Howe, CPA, joined Plante Moran in 2003 and is based in the firm’s Grand Rapids, Mich., office. He is the firm’s financial institutions tax practice leader and the state and local tax leader for the greater Michigan region. Howe specializes in minimizing state and local tax exposure and maximizing state tax savings opportunities. Howe received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Grand Valley State University. He currently resides in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Randall Janiczek, CPA, joined Plante Moran in 2011 and is based in the firms’ Grand Rapids, Mich., office. Janiczek is a leader with the firm’s international tax services practice. He provides multinational and internationally active clients with creative and technically sound solutions for minimizing their global tax liability. Janiczek holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame. He resides in Grand Haven, Mich.

Chris Jenkins, CPA, ABV, joined Plante Moran in 2004 and is based in the firm’s Southfield, Mich., office. Jenkins is a leader within the firm’s financial services group, specializing in providing audit, valuation, and consulting services for private equity and venture capital firms. Jenkins received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus in accounting and marketing from the University of Michigan. He resides in Northville, Mich.

Keith Piwko, CPA, CGMA, joined Plante Moran in 2006 and is based in the firm’s Detroit, Mich., office. He manages the firm’s Mumbai office and is the international assurance practice leader. He specializes in advising manufacturing, distribution, and service companies on their worldwide growth strategies. Piwko holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree with a specialization in taxation from Michigan State University. He resides in Detroit, Mich.

Kurt Piwko, CPA, joined Plante Moran in 2006 and is based in the firm’s Clinton Township, Mich., office. He is a member of the firm’s National Tax Office and specializes in all aspects of purchase and sale transactions for private equity funds, portfolio companies, and privately held businesses. He also leads the firm’s accounting methods practice where he ensures the proper application of and changes in tax accounting methods. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in accounting with a specialization in taxation from Michigan State University. Piwko resides in Royal Oak, Mich.

Tom Risi, CPA, joined Plante Moran in 1987 and is based in the firm’s Southfield, Mich., office. Risi leads the firm’s financial support services and enterprise services group. He specializes in financial accounting outsourcing, financial reporting, accounting transformation, accounting and financial special projects, internal audit, SOX compliance, and related enterprise risk management services. Risi holds an accounting degree from University of Michigan-Dearborn. He resides Plymouth, Mich.

Rick Robrahn, CPA, joined Plante Moran in 2003 and is based in the firm’s Detroit office. He provides tax and general business advice to organizations, executives, and owners that enable them to optimize their tax position. He specializes in transaction-related tax planning, tax due diligence, and managing tax compliance risk for private equity groups. Robrahn earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Michigan State University. He resides in West Bloomfield, Mich.

Jesse Rowe, CPA, joined the Plante Moran in 1999 and is based in the firm’s Columbus, Ohio, office. Rowe leads the firm’s employee benefit plan audit practice for the state of Ohio. He specializes in defined contribution plans, defined benefit plans, employee stock ownership plans, and health and welfare benefit plans primarily in the healthcare industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from West Virginia University. Rowe resides in Dublin, Ohio.

Cheri Stein, CPA, CFP®, CIMA®, joined Plante Moran in 1999 and is based in the firm’s Grand Rapids, Mich., office. Stein leads the Plante Moran Trust practice for West Michigan. She specializes in holistic wealth management, which includes trust administration, estate settlement, philanthropic and income tax planning, and investment consulting. She has a bachelor's of art degree in accounting and business administration from Taylor University. She resides Grand Rapids Township, Mich.

Daniel J. Trotta, CPA, FINOP, joined Plante Moran in 1984 and is based in the firm’s Southfield, Mich., office. Trotta is the firm’s CFO, and his responsible for the leadership and operations of the accounting and finance department. He’s also the steward of partner assets. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Wayne State University. Trotta resides in Troy, Mich.

Eric Wozniak, joined Plante Moran in 2007 and is based in the firm’s Southfield, Mich., office. He specializes in buy-side and sell-side due diligence, and merger and acquisition services. He helps business owners achieve their goals while mitigating risk and adding advisory value throughout the transaction process. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Albion College in economics and management with a concentration in finance. He resides Rochester Hills, Mich.
