As a leader in our technology practice, I specialize in the audit process for my clients who are often developing tech-enabled solutions to serve a variety of industries or using technology developed in-house to further their missions. I serve clients with a variety of ownership models from owner-managed to venture capital and private equity backed. Working with clients from day one to their ultimate exit — whatever that might be — is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job.
They appreciate that I bring a pragmatic and thoughtful approach to the audit process and am always looking for new ideas to help them solve their business challenges.
I was attracted to this career because of the idea of serving multiple clients, constantly growing, and being surrounded by brilliant people sounded like a fun way to spend my working hours. I’ve stayed in this career and at the firm because not only has this been true, but my colleagues and clients embody so many of the cultural principles that the firm values. Around the office, I’m known for staff development and knowing all the hidden gem lunch spots in town.
With more than 10 years’ experience, my greatest accomplishment was winning the Hermann Staff Development Award, which recognizes a staff member at the firm for their above and beyond contributions to individuals’ growth and development. It’s an honor to be acknowledged for my contributions to developing our staff and it’s something I’m incredibly passionate about.
I belong to the MICPA and AICPA and earned my B.A. and M.S. in accounting from Michigan State University.
With three young boys and all the free time that allows, I enjoy gardening, playing soccer and ice hockey, and cooking.
