One of my favorite activities is spending time outdoors with my family, where we create intentional memories and enjoy nature’s beauty.
Ashley Frase
Principal, CPA

As a principal in our assurance practice, I perform financial statement and compliance audits, as well as assist clients with the implementation of new accounting standards, cost certifications, agreed upon procedures, multiyear projections, and additional services. I specialize in the governmental and real estate industries, including housing and community development, real estate and governmental transit, and am a member of the professional standards team for the real estate industry.

With over 12 years of experience, I’ve assisted clients through difficult and sensitive situations, ensuring timely and effective audit reporting. My out-of-the-box thinking style considers alternative solutions to achieve similar outcomes, and clients appreciate my realistic approach to accounting and technical matters. Around the office, I’m known for being a resource on technical matters and a sounding board for both personal and professional concerns.

I hold a B.B.A. from Grand Valley State University and an M.B.A. from Davenport University, both focusing on accounting. I belong to several professional organizations, including the AICPA, MICPA, Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), Michigan GFOA, the MGFOA Legislative Committee, and the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), along with various APTA committees. I often present to professional industry organizations and committees on topics such as introduction to public finance, newly elected officials, Uniform Guidance changes, and the Inflation Reduction Act.

Outside the office, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my husband and two daughters, and engaging in my girls’ gymnastics and other activities. Whether it’s a beach vacation, camping in our travel trailer, or exploring parks and trails with our ORV, fresh air and outdoor time is important to our family.
