When I was younger, I was in piano competitions and ended up winning several of them.

Experience

I oversee financial statement audits within the technology services industry. My clients are generally private equity-owned and part of the technology and tech-enabled services industry, including SaaS providers, software developers, data processors, and technology consulting and other tech-enabled companies.

They appreciate that I’m practical, organized, and transparent around the audit process. My experience includes complex transactions, including business combinations, complex debt and equity arrangements, share-based compensation awards, and complex revenue arrangements. I’ve always loved helping clients and the always-changing environment of this career, whether that’s from new accounting standards, helping new clients, or assisting clients with large transactions.

With 10 years’ experience, I’ve worked on a number of challenging engagements, but one of the greatest was helping a client through an initial public offering. At the firm, I assist with the practice optimization committee, meaning we help focus on efficiency within our technology clients to ensure we’re streamlining the audit process and making that process easier for our clients.

At the office, I’m known for my sense of humor, my ability to boost team morale, and for stepping in to help and to ensure jobs get done.

I’m a member of the MICPA and AICPA. I earned my B.A. and M.S. in accounting from Michigan State University.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, working out and traveling.
