Experience

I serve as a strategic advisor to ultra-high-net-worth families, multigenerational family offices, restaurants, private equity groups, and mature private businesses. My responsibilities consist of overseeing the tax function and advising clients on income tax opportunities, including passed and proposed tax legislation, the structuring of complex transactions, wealth transfer, and other planning matters.

I frequently communicate with my clients, engagement teams, and outside advisors; and I’m known for my strong client relationships and sense of urgency. My goal is to be a true partner to my clients by providing guidance that goes beyond tax compliance.

As a leader in the firm’s family office services group, I contributed to Plante Moran’s published Family Office Answer Book, co-authoring the section, “Best practices for the family office tax function.” Additionally, I’m often asked to speak to various restaurant organizations on legislative changes.

I’m a proud Purdue University graduate with a B.S. in accounting. I also hold my M.S. in taxation from DePaul University.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy golfing, exploring the city of Chicago, and attending sporting events. I keep up with college football and basketball, especially Purdue. I spend my free time with friends and family.
