One of my hobbies is deep sea fishing, and I’ve been fortunate — or unfortunate, depending on your perspective — to have once caught a hammerhead shark.

Experience

As a partner with our forensic and valuation services group, I specialize in the valuation of closely held debt, equity securities, and intangible assets for a variety of purposes. Many of my clients are leaders of automobile dealerships and consumer finance companies. I provide valuation of intangible assets for financial reporting and the valuation of debt and equity securities for estate planning.

The question, what is something worth versus what is its value, has always intrigued me. This career is the perfect fit for my natural curiosity. I love that in my time with Plante Moran, I’ve been able to help expand on the breadth of valuations services that we offer our valued clients.

I belong to the AICPA, the American Society of Appraisers, and the Appraisal Foundation’s Appraisal Issues Task Force. I earned my B.A. in accounting from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University.

Outside of the office, I enjoy opportunities to soak up fresh air. I love golfing, fishing, and boating, and I like to spend my free time with my two daughters, Abigail and Elizabeth.
