I provide tax, accounting, and business advisory services to multiunit restaurants and retailers; franchisors; franchisees; and professional service firms. I have experience working with a variety of different ownership models, from owner-managed businesses to large private equity-owned portfolio companies.
Prior to joining the firm, I worked in the franchise industry for more than eight years as the owner of three national sandwich franchise locations — that experience gave me a unique business perspective that my clients value.
My coworkers appreciate that I’m able to advise clients on tax-related matters but am also well-versed in business aspects related to operating a franchise. I’m seen as a subject matter expert on advising clients on agency treatment as it relates to ad fund matters and identifying tax-savings opportunities.
I was attracted to this career because I find satisfaction in helping individuals and businesses navigate the tax code to minimize their tax liabilities, potentially saving them significant amounts of money.
I’m a member of the AICPA and MICPA. I’m often asked to speak to clients, attorneys, and industry conferences on tax planning, tax reform, and industry-related topics. I earned a B.Ac. in accounting from Walsh College of Accountancy.
Outside of the office, I love to travel and have been to eight countries with many more left on my list.
