Emily Kranick
Principal CPA, MSTExperience
As a tax principal with over a decade of experience, I bring a wealth of expertise from my background managing engagements for companies in the construction industry, including heavy highway, subcontractors, and general contractors. My clients cover a variety of ownership models, with the majority being owner-managed, and private equity-owned businesses.
Clients appreciate my responsiveness and proactive approach, and I strive to deliver additional value through tax planning, such as accounting method changes, depreciation, and tax credits. My greatest accomplishments are helping clients plan for the future and providing them with the strategies they need to effectively navigate their financial landscapes.
Around the office, colleagues know me for my expertise in construction tax matters and my practical, solution-oriented approach. I was attracted to the construction industry because of my family’s background in the field and my own familiarity and confidence with its practices and environment.
I hold a B.B.A. in accounting and a Master of Science in taxation from Grand Valley State University. I’m actively involved in the professional community as a member of the AICPA, the MICPA, and the Construction Financial Management Association.
When not serving clients, I’m often outdoors adventuring with my family and our dogs – camping, snowboarding, boating, and off-roading. Additionally, I serve as an active board member for Last Day Dog Rescue where I previously served four years as president. I’m passionate about the rescue’s mission to save dogs on their last day, and my family has fostered three dogs, with hopes of many more to come.
