I started my career as an auditor, so I bring a combination of audit and tax experience that helps me understand the financial and operational impact of tax strategies. This helps me optimize a balanced, practical approach to tax savings for my clients.
I was originally attracted to this career because of the black-and-white nature of the business. A financial statement must foot; tax must be calculated according to laws. While these are still true, I’ve remained in this profession for greater reasons. The biggest reason? The relationships I get to build with staff and clients. Recently, I celebrated 20 years with the firm — and I’m still going strong. I love the wide variety of experiences I’ve been involved in and people I’ve worked with.
I received a B.S. in accounting from Walsh College. I belong to the AICPA and the MICPA.
Away from the office, I love spending time with my wife and our three kids. In the summer, we try to get on our boat — appropriately named “Family Time” — as much as possible.
