My approach with clients is to listen first, then draw on my years of experience to bring solutions to their current situation, and help them see upcoming challenges and opportunities they may not be aware of.
Around the office, I’m known as a caring advisor who assists staff in growing into professionals who provide great client service. I’m always looking to help staff find stretch assignments that they can take pride in and find enjoyment in. I take a sincere interest in the professional development of everyone on my team. Because accounting is the underlying base of all business operations, I became interested in this career to help organizations be more profitable. Being a competitive person, I tend to never be satisfied with what has been accomplished so far, and I’m always looking for ways to help my clients become even more successful.
Throughout the year, I speak at various seminars, executive team meetings, and events about partner development and trends in the profession. Active in the Southeast Michigan region, I’m involved in Automation Alley and I’m on the Business Advisory Board for Life Remodeled. I have an advisory role with Oak Pointe Church, and I’m a member of the AICPA and the MICPA. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University’s Honors College with a B.B.A. in accounting.
My kids consume most of my free time outside of work. I’m active in coaching them in a variety of sports. I also enjoy mountain biking at some of Michigan’s amazing parks.
