Experience

As the accounting advisory principal on the management consulting team, I focus on providing accounting and outsourcing services to various industries, with an emphasis on real estate and construction.

Prior to joining the firm, I was the real estate and construction industry leader for BDO’s accounting advisory and outsourcing practice. Additionally, a significant portion of my career has been spent as an audit partner and team leader with extensive knowledge in real estate.

Clients appreciate that I’m attentive to their needs and listen empathetically. With 40-plus years of experience, I have a reputation for developing strong working relationships with my clients. Around the office, I’m known for greeting everyone and being responsive to their questions.

I’m a member of the AICPA and the Illinois CPA Society. I currently serve as the president of my homeowner's association and have been involved in condominium association boards for many years. Recently, I developed a real estate training session and presented it to professionals nationally.

I attended the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, where I earned a Bachelor of Accounting and Auditing degree and a Higher Diploma in taxation (similar to a master’s degree). At university, I was awarded the Raymond Stein Award for achieving the highest marks in taxation the year I attended the course. As a real estate audit partner at RSM, I was given the Partner of the Year award for growth and team leadership.

I have passed both the South African Chartered Accounts Board exam and the CPA Board exam, and I currently hold a CPA license in the state of Illinois.

Outside of work, I enjoy working out, hiking, playing pickleball, and I am an avid motorcycle rider.
