Manuel Herrera of Plante Moran Realpoint (PMR), formerly Plante Moran Cresa, has been featured on Poets&Quants 2022 Best and Brightest Online MBA list. Poets&Quants, a leading business education publication, compiles this list each year from nominations submitted by 73 top business schools across the nation. Poets&Quants chose 51 winners based on three criteria: extracurricular activities, academic and professional achievements, and overall insightfulness.
Prompted by the pandemic, Manuel made the decision to pursue an online MBA program this past year from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. He was nominated by his professors and peers as one of the best and brightest leaders and innovators of his class. This is Manuel’s second degree from the University of Michigan.
“While the world was mobilizing to respond to the challenges from the pandemic, learning outcomes in an online format was largely unphased, and frankly, ahead in terms of the changes we are seeing now in the way we work post-pandemic,” said Manuel.
To Manuel, the most notable part of the program was how much growth he experienced while being actively employed. “I did not have to wait years to put new skills into practice and in doing so, I learned more about myself as a leader,” he explained in the interview. Manuel, a vice president at PMR, serves clients across the public and private sectors with owner’s representation, master planning, and related real estate consulting services.
Manuel was a part of the inaugural cohort for the program and member of the Student Council as Vice President of Ross Community.
