Jim Proppe named new managing partner at Plante Moran

Jim Proppe was to be introduced Friday to employees at the Southfield-based accounting and consulting firm of Plante Moran PLLC as their new managing partner. Proppe was elected to a four-year term by the 270 partners and will replace current managing partner Gordon Krater next July 1. The firm has a mandatory retirement age for partners of 62, but Krater is 58. He will remain at the firm as a partner.
