Plante Moran's Curtis Ruppal receives esteemed MICPA award

November 13, 2018 / 1 minute read

We’re pleased to announce that Curtis Ruppal, Plante Moran’s state and local tax practice leader, received the Thomas M. Hoatlin Award from the Michigan Association of CPAs (MICPA) on November 7. The award recognizes a MICPA State & Local Tax Task Force member who most significantly contributes to the lasting and mutually beneficial relationship between the MICPA and the Michigan Department of Treasury.

Curtis was chosen for the award by a selection of MICPA members, a fact that humbles him. “From my perspective, there’s no higher compliment than being recognized by your peers,” he said. “Although this is an individual award — and I’m grateful for it — it doesn’t happen without the contributions of others in the MICPA and the Department of Treasury. It takes all of us having open discussion and collaborating on tax matters. We all have to work together.”

Please join us in congratulating Curtis on this accomplishment.
