Plante Moran is excited to announce that Jennifer Meyer, a member of our audit team in Boulder, Colo., is a 2019 Elijah Watt Sells Award winner. This award is given out annually, the year after the test is taken, to CPA candidates who pass all four sections of the CPA exam on their first attempt with a cumulative score above 95.50 across each section. Jennifer is one of 133 winners in a pool of 75,000 who took the CPA exam in 2019. Only eight other Plante Moran staff members have received this distinction.

“On behalf of the AICPA, I’d like to commend the Sells Award winners for their impressive accomplishment,” said Mike Decker, AICPA’s vice president of examinations. “The CPA exam is a rigorous assessment, and these candidates should be proud of their exceptional performance.”

This program was established in 1923 to recognize outstanding performance on the CPA exam. Sells was one of the first CPAs in the United States and helped advance professional education within the profession.
