Kelly Hambright

As a firm principal, I provide tax compliance and tax planning services to a wide range of closely held and private equity-owned clients, primarily in the manufacturing, distribution, and service industries with significant multistate and international operations. I work closely with clients to help them navigate complex tax environments while supporting their broader business objectives.

With nearly 15 years of public accounting experience, I have significant expertise advising on mergers and acquisitions, accounting method conversions, and tax provisions. I’m known for helping clients proactively manage tax risk, improve cash flow, and align tax strategies with long-term growth plans.

Clients value my practical, business-minded approach and my focus on identifying opportunities to reduce tax burdens without losing sight of operational realities. I enjoy tackling complex challenges and applying my technical knowledge in ways that make a meaningful difference for my clients. Within the firm, I’m recognized for continuously seeking efficiencies, improving processes, and adding value for both clients and engagement teams.

I’m a member of the Michigan Association of CPAs, and have both my B.B.A. and Master of Accounting from the University of Michigan.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters, staying active outdoors, and cheering on Michigan athletics.
