Early in my career, I went skydiving over Lake Wanaka in New Zealand — an unforgettable experience that cemented my appreciation for preparation, trust, and a good view from 12,000 feet!

As a leader in the firm’s mortgage banking practice, I supervise assurance and consulting services for financial institutions, including banks, credit unions, and independent mortgage bankers. Many of the banks I work with have total assets over $1 billion, and I oversee the testing, design, and operating effectiveness of their financial reporting. My expertise covers HUD, GNMA, USAP, and Reg AB compliance requirements.

With nearly two decades of experience, I leverage my mortgage banking expertise to develop and lead trainings for staff on internal tools and programs, including compliance requirements. I also serve on the Internal Audit Advisory Board within the financial intuitions group.

Growing up as a multiple sports athlete, I’ve always loved being part of a team. Public accounting, especially at Plante Moran, has allowed me to approach client engagements with a similar team mentality where we’re all working together toward an end goal. The camaraderie and technical challenges I encounter each day keep me excited to continue down the path.

I belong to the AICPA, MICPA, Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), and Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association, where I sit on the Women’s Initiative Network Committee. Due to my technical expertise, I’ve been asked to speak at the MBA’s Accounting and Financial Management Conference each year since 2021. I have a B.A. and M.S. in accounting from Michigan State University.

In my free time, I’m an avid golfer and tennis player. I love the Bahamas and enjoy spending time with my family: my husband, our daughter, and our goldendoodle, as well as our extended and chosen families.
