I love DIY projects. My wife and I recently completed a remodel of our backyard deck, basement, and bathroom. Our dream is to build our own house from scratch someday.

Experience

As the partner in charge of the Michigan region of our Japanese Business Services (JBS) practice, I work with Japanese transplant clients operating in the United States and Mexico. Many of my clients are automotive suppliers or within the food and beverage sector.

Plante Moran’s JBS practice was launched right before I joined the firm, and I was one of the starting members. My greatest accomplishment is that I’ve been able to contribute to the success and growth of clients’ businesses while also growing our practice.

From a very young age, I was fascinated with being a leader and growing my own business and team. Since my great-grandfather’s era, my family has run a manufacturing business in my hometown in Japan, and it’s been a great inspiration to me. Over the years, I learned that management and business owners always need trusted business advisors who can provide great professional services to run successful businesses.

With more than 15 years of experience, I’m an active member of the Japan Business Society of Detroit and Japan America Society of Tennessee. I’m on the board of the Japan America Society of Michigan and Southwestern Ontario. I received my B.A. in management from Hiram College and M.A. from Bowling Green State University.

Outside of work, I love cooking and camping with my family and friends. I enjoy playing golf, karaoke, guitar, and martial arts. I spend my free time with my wife and two sons.
