In the summer of 2019, I took my first trip to Europe, traveling to Italy, Poland, and the Czech Republic with my wife.

Experience

I specialize in assurance, tax, and advisory services to middle-market manufacturing and distribution companies, including those that are family-owned and private equity-owned. Many of my commercial clients are active internationally and in the merger and acquisition space. I’m also a benefit plan specialist and supervise the audits of employee benefit plans for my commercial clients.

I also serve K-12 education clients where I provide a wide range of services, including financial statement audits, single audits, and general business consulting. As a member of the firm’s professional standards team in both the manufacturing and distribution and K-12 industries, I assist with qualify control reviews and technical trainings.

It was during a summer internship with the firm that I realized I wanted to be an auditor and I wanted to work at Plante Moran. The people I worked with during that internship made it an easy decision to accept an offer within our assurance practice. Seven years later, the people haven’t changed, and I appreciate all the relationships I’ve built with our clients and within the firm.

As a CPA, I’m a member of the AICPA and Michigan Association of CPAs. I received my B.A. and M.S. in accounting from Michigan State University. Outside of work, I stay active in a variety of sports, including hockey, golf, and basketball. I also enjoy traveling during the summer months with my wife.
