Gabriel O’Keefe

As an assurance partner, my work includes leading financial statement audits for large, complex companies with multiple operations, and providing expertise in analyzing and recording business combination transactions. The majority of my clients are private equity portfolio companies operating within the for-profit healthcare and business services sectors, as well as general and subcontractors in the construction industry. As a dedicated member of our firm’s regional private equity team supporting Texas and the West Coast, I’m committed to cultivating strong and lasting relationships with organizations nationwide. I also serve as the firmwide leader of Plante Moran’s health and welfare benefit plan practice.

After more than two decades with the firm, my reasons for pursuing this profession still motivate me to this day. I’m energized by helping clients maximize the value of their businesses, increasing liquidity, and uncovering meaningful tax savings. Clients appreciate my ability to implement strong financial reporting processes and internal controls while reducing their tax burden through innovative tax strategies.

I’m a member of the AICPA and the Michigan Association of CPAs, and I earned both my B.B.A. and M.A. from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. Go Blue!

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling with my family, from trips to Disney World to exploring destinations across the United States and Europe.
