My clients appreciate that I take a practical approach to analyzing and proposing solutions to technical issues and that I can articulate complex topics in a straightforward manner. Around the office, I’m known for adding humor to an otherwise tense or stressful situation to lighten the mood and power through.
While researching the accounting profession for a general business course in college, I determined that public accounting would be a good fit for my communication and analytical skills. Lucky for me — I was right! I enjoy helping clients and engagement teams by providing them with guidance, insights, and solutions.
With more than 15 years of experience, I’m asked to speak to clients, prospects, and referral sources on complex technical topics or upcoming accounting pronouncements, such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, and consolidation analysis. I belong to the AICPA, the Illinois CPA Society, and CREW Chicago. I earned my B.S. in accountancy and my master’s degree in accounting science from Northern Illinois University.
Outside of the office, you’ll most likely find me on an adventure with my husband and our young daughters. We enjoy hosting our friends and family for swimming, campfires and smores, and racing anything with a motor. Between work, kids, and life, I tend to focus on one hobby at a time — I’ve run a half marathon, taken on large-scale home renovation projects, and am currently seeking suggestions for my next endeavor.
