Since I’ve always been energized by the opportunity to help others, this career is the perfect blend of my servant nature and my industry expertise. In our cybersecurity practice, we collaborate with management teams and business owners who want a guarantee of high network security. Our clients appreciate that we don’t hope or guess for best outcomes, rather we work every day to put our strongest efforts into securing their organizations.
I’m often asked to present on security-related topics for webinars and conferences. Recently, I spoke to the MICPA on new trends in technology and to the GFOA on COSO and its implications. I’ve led Plante Moran webinars on cybersecurity concerns and fraud prevention. I’m a member of the AICPA, the MICPA, the ISACA-Detroit chapter, and the ACFE. My certifications include Certified Information Systems Auditor, Qualified Security Assessor, Certified Fraud Examiner, and CPA. I have a B.A. in mathematics from Grand Valley State University and a B.B.A. in accounting information systems from Eastern Michigan University.
While we’re in the business of high stakes, I try to take a relaxed approach with clients and with my team. Whether I’m amusing my staff by eating three super burritos or keeping the mood light with, in my opinion, my great sense of humor, I want to keep building great teams of professionals who can tackle any clients’ situation.
