Two years ago, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) was established and, since then, the IRS has issued several interpretations and regulations to provide clearer guidance. Additionally, the South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc. Decision made by the Supreme Court has made states look at their economic nexus standards and how they apply them. Both the TCJA and the Wayfair decision have had impacts on private equity and their portfolio companies. Our experts discussed these topics and more during a webinar on January 23, 2020, presented in partnership with ACG Global.

Learning objectives:

  • Detailed overview on the Wayfair decision’s impact on state, local, and other tax types
  • Discussion on the challenges and considerations of the Wayfair decision
  • Recap on the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and the impacts of this legislation
  • Examination of the basics of business interest expense limitation
