This new legislation also offers incentives for consumers who choose to purchase electric vehicles. But along with these incentives, the IRA brings a number of considerations — from consumer confidence in electric vehicles to the uncertainty around production tax credits — and questions remain for manufacturers and customers alike. Mark Barrott, principal automotive analyst, discusses these topics and shares how domestic manufacturers can use their credit to gain an advantage over international automakers.
