As the industry technical leader for financial institutions, mortgage, and consumer finance companies, I serve both public and private institutions, perform quality control reviews, and advise our clients and team so that they stay on the forefront of industry and regulatory developments. I have extensive experience managing audits of SEC registrants and the related review of required SEC filings.
I was in the first Plante Moran Chicago hiring class in 2004 and was fortunate to be one of the first financial institutions team members focused on building and serving a practice. After helping grow our Chicagoland practice, I’m now proud to be part of our team in the Rocky Mountain region, bringing my enthusiasm and technical guidance to our clients in Colorado and beyond.
Designated as a “top-rated speaker” for the Financial Managers Society, I speak regularly for several different associations on topics such as new accounting standards, regulatory changes, and industry developments. Additionally, I author various thought leadership pieces for our clients and their boards. I received my B.S. in accounting from Michigan State University. I belong to the Illinois CPA Society (former Chairman of the FI Conference), the Financial Managers Society (serve on national board of directors and chairman of the accounting council), and the AICPA.
In my free time, I enjoy being with my wife, daughter, and other family members and friends. In addition to that, I love getting outside. I find opportunities to get to the Rocky Mountains for skiing and hiking, and I like playing golf, even if I don’t always have a great game.
