Headshot of Budd Eichner

I started shooting skeet in 2009, and I compete in tournaments throughout the United States. There’s a great camaraderie in the sport, and I’ve brought in several new clients that I met on the skeet field.

Experience

As a business development consultant, I’m responsible for developing new client opportunities for all practice areas of the firm. In this role, I manage the development process and coordinate our activities with prospects.

I’ve been with the firm over 35 years. During this time — and partly due to my tenacious approach with prospects — I’ve brought in many significant client relationships that have grown to become some of Chicago’s most well-known companies and organizations.

I love that my career affords me the opportunity to work with prospects and clients on the front lines. Our long-term relationships usually begin with a phone call. Clients appreciate the time I invest getting to know their business, understanding their needs, and matching them with the appropriate Plante Moran resources.

I’m a member of the AICPA and the Illinois CPA Society, and I received my B.S. in accounting from Illinois State University. Outside of work, I spend time with my wife and two daughters. I also enjoy skeet, golf, 60s music, and movies.
