Bob leads Plante Moran’s Ohio state and local tax practice. From income and franchise to sales and use taxes, Bob is known for helping his clients manage their risk and exposure by providing them the information they need to make effective and realistic business decisions regarding the state and local tax issues they face. Bob has more than 21 years of focused experience in state and local tax issues serving a diversified client base focusing on a wide range of industries from manufacturing to service companies.

Most recently, Bob assisted a client in obtaining more than $575,000 in sales tax refunds by helping the client understand changes in its business impacted the taxability of its services. Bob is a regular speaker at both internal and external technical trainings, including the Michigan and Ohio Tax Conferences. He has a B.A. in accounting from Michigan State University and M.S. in taxation from Walsh College.
