Headshot of Kevin DeAutremont

I’m a descendent of the D’Autremont brothers, who were the subject of the largest manhunt in U.S. history in the 1920s. They unsuccessfully attempted to rob a train in Oregon. That story and its tragic aftermath are chronicled in detail in the Smithsonian.

Experience

As the leader of the Rocky Mountain Region risk and accounting advisory services (RAAS) technical accounting advisory team, I help to identify, pursue, and secure accounting service opportunities; prioritize and oversee project execution and delivery; provide professional development/coaching oversight, and help shape future service initiatives.

I’ve served clients across a wide variety of industries, including construction, not-for-profit, manufacturing, healthcare, oil and gas, professional services, food and beverage, high-tech/software, real estate investment, family office/high net worth, automobile dealerships, and private equity.

With more than 19 years of experience, I’ve spoken on industry topics to different professional groups such as the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), the Rocky Mountain Association of Financial Professionals, the Denver Institute of Internal Auditors Chapter, and the Denver InfraGard Chapter. Recently, I presented on accounting assessment services to the Denver Chapter of Finance Executives International, and I have served on various professional panels, most recently discussing career choices for an IMA student night.

Within my community, I’m an alumni of Impact Denver, which is a leadership and philanthropic program designed to connect business leaders in the government, nonprofit, and industry sectors to the issues impacting our city, and I continue to volunteer through the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation. Through Impact Denver, I became involved in “A Little Help,” which is a nonprofit that provides elderly individuals with basic services such as rides, yard work, and social visits. I’m currently the chair for the Arapahoe Community College Accounting Advisory Committee.

I belong to the AICPA, the Colorado Society of CPAs, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. I received my B.S. in business administration from Colorado State University with a dual emphasis in accounting and finance.

I’m an avid sports fan of Denver’s professional sports teams, and I love to travel. I’ve traveled throughout Western and Eastern Europe, Hawaii, Mexico, the Bahamas, the contiguous 48 states, and China. I spend most of my free time with my lovely wife, Jessica, and my two sons, Jordan and Bryce.
