Plante Moran has announced 16 new partners and one entity member.

Southfield, Michigan Plante Moran, one of the nation’s largest certified public accounting, tax and consulting firms, has announced 16 new partners and one entity member. 

Trevor Brown joined Plante Moran in 2012 and is based in the firm’s Denver Tech Center office. As a leader of the data management practice for the Rocky Mountain region, Brown delivers custom analytics solutions for state and local government clients, higher education institutions, K-12 districts and various private industry organizations. His expertise includes data warehousing, data quality, master data management, system integration, data governance and technical architecture. He received his bachelor’s degree in management information systems and finance from Florida State University. Brown resides in Lakewood, Colorado.  

Ken Buczkowski, CPA, MST joined Plante Moran in 2012 and is based in the firm’s Chicago office. Buczkowski specializes in tax compliance and consulting for investment funds such as private equity, venture capital, real estate and other alternative investments. Additionally, he handles income tax compliance for investment fund managers, other high net-worth individuals and family offices. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Illinois. Buczkowski resides in Chicago. 

Jeannette Contreraz, CPA joined Plante Moran in 2000 and is based in the firm’s Auburn Hills office. Contreraz provides tax services to Plante Moran’s manufacturing and distribution and community banking clients, specializing in entity selection and structuring and tax planning for acquisitions and sales of businesses. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan. Contreraz resides in Rochester Hills, Michigan. 

John Fritz, CPA joined Plante Moran in 2011 and is based in the firm’s Chicago office. Fritz provides audit and consulting services within the firm’s financial services group, specializing in the insurance industry. He works with a variety of insurance carriers including property and casualty, life and health companies as well as insurance agencies and self-insured risk pools. He received his bachelor’s degree in accountancy from the University of Illinois. Fritz currently resides in Arlington Heights, Illinois.  

Theresa Greenway, CPA, MST joined Plante Moran in 2005 and is based in the firm’s Flint office. A tax expert in Plante Moran’s financial services group, Greenway primarily works with insurance companies, financial institutions and mortgage companies. She has extensive experience with captive insurance arrangements as well as property and casualty and health insurers. She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting and her master’s degree in taxation from Walsh College in Troy, Michigan. Greenway resides in Fenton Township, Michigan. 

Matthew Kelly, CPA joined Plante Moran in 2005 and is based in the firm’s Kalamazoo office. Kelly is the leader of Plante Moran’s commercial industry practice in Kalamazoo, providing a wide range of services including financial statement and benefit plan audits, reviews and compilations, as well as tax and general business advisory services. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and his master’s degree in accounting from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. Kelly resides in Kalamazoo, Michigan. 

Jack Kristan, CPA, CIA joined Plante Moran in 2005 and is based in the firm’s Southfield office. As the automotive and manufacturing leader for the firm’s risk and accounting advisory practice, Kristan focuses on developing tailored risk management, internal audit and compliance solutions for commercial clients and family offices. Kristan received his bachelor’s degrees in economics and finance and his master’s degree in business administration from Michigan State University. Kristan resides in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. 

Michael Krucker, J.D. joined Plante Moran in 2008 and is based in the firm’s Detroit office. As a leader in the firm’s employee benefits consulting practice, Krucker advises clients on compliance, efficiencies and best practices on issues affecting their staff, including broad-based employee benefits, executive compensation, human resources and payroll. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science/pre-law from Wayne State University and his law degree from Wayne Law in Detroit. Krucker currently resides in Roseville, Michigan. 

Melissa Lynch, CPA, MSA joined Plante Moran in 2003 and is based in the firm’s Chicago office. As the assurance technical leader for the firm’s service industries, Lynch works with leaders and owners of technology companies, retail, restaurants, franchisors and multi-unit franchisees, professional service firms and transportation and logistics companies. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Michigan State University. Lynch currently resides in Park Ridge, Illinois. 

Kyle Manny, CPA, CGMA joined Plante Moran in 2006 and is based in the firm’s Chicago office. As an assurance leader in the financial services sector, he specializes in proactively addressing risks to protect and build shareholder value and minimize the risk of regulatory criticism. A majority of his clients are financial institutions and specialty lenders focused on commercial finance. Manny received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Hope College in Holland, Michigan and currently resides in Park Ridge, Illinois. 

Jason Rees, CPA joined Plante Moran in 2003 and is based in the firm’s Columbus office. Rees provides audit, review, examination and consulting services, as well as industry expertise beyond compliance. He works with both not-for-profit and for-profit organizations, specializing in serving larger, multi-campus senior living organizations and those that provide home health, hospice and affordable housing services. Rees received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting and information systems from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti. He resides in Plain City, Ohio. 

Jesse Richardson, ASA, CFE joined Plante Moran in 2001 and is based in the firm’s Grand Rapids office. As leader of Plante Moran’s West Michigan valuation services team, Richardson specializes in business valuation and financial advisory services as they relate to the valuation of business enterprises, intangible assets and debt and equity for financial and tax reporting purposes. Richardson earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from Hope College. He resides in Ada, Michigan. 

Steve Schnepel, CPA joined Plante Moran in 2013 and is based in the firm’s Denver Tech Center office. Specializing in international tax, Schnepel serves publicly and privately held clients in the high-tech, manufacturing, distribution, professional services, energy and telecom industries. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Tulane University. Schnepel resides in Denver. 

David Stahl, CFA, CFP® joined Plante Moran in 2007 and is based in the firm’s Southfield office. Stahl specializes in wealth management, estate planning and investment advisory for high net worth individuals and families. He advises clients who have owned closely held businesses and are transitioning their wealth from private holdings to a more diversified balance sheet. Stahl received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Michigan State University and resides in Novi, Michigan. 

Joe Wagner joined P&M Corporate Finance in 2003. Wagner leads PMCF’s industrial distribution investment banking practice and co-leads the firm’s diversified industrials team. He specializes in providing investment banking services, including sell-side advisory, buy-side advisory, capital raising and transaction readiness planning to middle-market companies. Wagner received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern University. He resides in Northville, Michigan. 

Brad Walters, CPA joined Plante Moran in 2012 and is based in the firm’s Chicago office. Walters provides advice and performs financial statement audits for manufacturing, distribution and service companies, many of which are private equity owned. He also specializes in auditing and advising sponsors of a variety of alternative investment funds. Walters received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Central Michigan University. He resides in Chicago. 

Alisha Watkins, CPA joined Plante Moran in 2004 and is based in the firm’s Southfield office. She provides assurance and consulting services to clients in the government and healthcare industries, working with organizations that provide senior living care services as well as local cities, townships, governmental authorities and public utilities. Watkins received her bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio and her master’s degree in accounting from Walsh College. She currently resides in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
