Todd McClain is a partner for Plante Moran Financial Advisors in the firm’s Detroit office. Todd has been serving high net worth individuals and families since May 2002.
While serving as his clients’ personal CFO, he assists high net worth individuals and families in growing their wealth, reducing income and estate taxes, and planning for future generations by employing an independent and objective approach to wealth management. Todd also provides institutional investment consulting services to not-for-profits and foundations.
Todd is a Certified Financial Planner™ Professional. He is also certified as an Investment Management Analyst by the Investment Management Consultants Association, which involved coursework and an examination taken at the Wharton School; he is one of only 6,000 people nationwide to hold this prestigious designation.
Todd earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance, with Honor from Michigan State University; as well as a Masters of Science in Finance from Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Administration. In addition, Todd served in the United States Navy from 1992 – 1996, participating in Operation Restore Hope in Somalia and Operation Desert Shield in the Persian Gulf.
Todd has also recently been recognized as a 2017 Five Star Wealth Manager.
