Headshot of Tricia Newcomb

Our favorite family vacation was in Mexico — full of beach volleyball, snorkeling, and some relaxation by the pool.
Tricia Newcomb
Relationship Manager, CIMA®

As a member of the Plante Moran Financial Advisors investment research team with a focus on investment strategy and portfolio construction, I collaborate with our Investment Committee and other members of our research team to develop, implement, and monitor our portfolio strategy. To do so effectively, I constantly analyze current economic, policy, and capital market conditions and trends to ensure that we’re balancing the risks and opportunities that exist in developing our strategies and consulting with clients.

I also apply that technical knowledge to collaborate directly with our advisors to evaluate specific portfolios through the lens of client-specific objectives, the current market environment, and our portfolio strategy to create customized solutions for those clients.

I collaborate with advisors across the firm to serve as a technical resource to clients focused on their portfolios. Developing a deep understanding of their situation, we are able to create and implement a tailored solution that aligns with their specific goals and objectives, while also being attentive to minimizing the costs and tax consequences associated with their portfolio. I’m known for my ability to convey technical topics in an approachable manner with clients. I find helping clients manage their financial life as a means of achieving their nonfinancial goals is incredibly rewarding.

I received my B.B.A. from Western Michigan University. I’m also a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) and a member of the Investments & Wealth Institute (formerly IMCA).

Outside of work, much of my time is invested in my family. I have two daughters who love sports, and many of our weekends are filled with those activities. When I’m not cheering them on in games, meets, and tournaments, I enjoy traveling and being active.
