Next stop, Detroit

June 17, 2013 / 1 min read

What do the Lions, Tigers, Redwings, and Plante Moran all have in common?

They’re all in Detroit!

I’m excited to announce that Plante Moran is opening a Detroit office in one of its premier locations—the Compuware building. Why Detroit? Why now?

There are a few reasons behind the move. First, we’ve been spending more time downtown working with public and private sector organizations. Second, we’ve enjoyed significant growth in Southeast Michigan, and we need more office space to accommodate our new staff. Third, we believe a Detroit presence will help us better attract professionals who want to be part of the urban work environment as we continue to expand our team.

And last but not least, we’re excited to be a part of Detroit’s continued revitalization. When I tell people about our move, one of the first things they ask is if I’m concerned about the city and its financial woes. Our eyes are open—everybody knows that Detroit has its share of challenges, but we’re committed to being part of the solution. We’re looking forward to joining other leaders like Dan Gilbert and Rock Ventures, Bob Paul and Compuware, and the Ilitch and Ford families. There’s an excitement and vitality about the city. Good things are happening, and we’re thrilled to be part of it.
