Season’s greetings: More smiles, more appreciation, more happiness

December 21, 2016 / 1 min read

However you celebrate, the holiday season puts a buzz in the air: People are talking about their holiday plans, reflecting on what they’re thankful for, and being more generous.

The holiday season is upon us. What I love most about this time of the year is the goodness it brings out in people. There’s a buzz in the air: people are talking about their holiday plans, reflecting on what they’re thankful for, and being more generous. If you pay attention, you’ll see more smiles, more appreciation, more happiness. And it’s contagious.

What I love most about this time of the year is the goodness it brings out in people.

What brings me happiness is the time I’ll spend with family. With a growing group, we pick a day to celebrate. It may or may not be Dec. 25, but whatever day, it’s one we spend together. We have a traditional Polish family dinner, and then when the grandkids go to bed, we prepare for Santa’s arrival: we set out all the presents, my wife stuffs the stockings until they’re overflowing, and I get to work on the milk and cookies (the kids love finding the leftover crumbs). My wife even writes notes to the kids from Santa. It’s always a special day that makes for great family memories.

So how about you? What do you love most about the season, and how do you celebrate?

Here’s to a wonderful holiday season and a prosperous 2017.
