As a leader in the manufacturing and distribution practice, I specialize in financial statement audits for clients who are family-owned, owner-managed, and private equity-backed businesses. Additionally, I have experience in financial statement audits of publicly traded companies and regularly assist clients with technical accounting issues. The majority of my client base is in the manufacturing and distribution space, including a significant portion that are private equity-backed.
Clients appreciate that I’m proactive, responsive, and engaged with their needs. Around the office, I’m known for being accessible and relatable. I enjoy coaching and training my staff and take pride in supporting their growth and development. I’m also passionate about advocating for working mothers and strive to create a supportive, inclusive environment for all.
I was attracted to this career because I wanted to always be learning something new, as well as working with a lot of different types of companies and people. After nearly 15 years with the firm, my greatest accomplishment has been helping coach and develop staff to achieve their goals.
I’m often asked to speak to clients and their boards and committees regarding industry hot topics, new accounting standards and best practices. I’m a member of the AICPA and COCPA and am Treasurer of the Board for Women in Manufacturing Colorado. I also belong to, and am active with, the Colorado Bioscience Association.
I earned a B.S. in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Colorado State University and an M.A. in accountancy at Colorado State University.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two sons. We enjoy the Colorado mountain vacations in fall and lake life in Minnesota in summer with friends and family.
