I worked at a dairy farm throughout high school and college, doing everything from driving a tractor and baling hay to making homemade ice cream.

Experience

As a leader in our Ohio assurance practice, I ensure our team works collaboratively and efficiently to deliver high-quality service to our clients. I specialize in serving privately held manufacturing and construction companies. Many of my manufacturing companies are internationally owned, operate under IFRS, and have group reporting requirements. In addition, I spend time working with our Japanese business services team.

My clients appreciate that I truly value client service and responsiveness. While meeting deadlines without surprises is the baseline, I also work hard to bring them industry-specific ideas and valuable business introductions.

I enjoy this career for the combination of working with a great team and serving our valued clients through their many unique business opportunities and challenges. Most of all, I enjoy the relationships that are made along the way. My teams travel often, and I’m always looking for local points of interest in new areas, such as the best family-owned restaurant in a small town.

With more than 10 years of experience, I regularly speak to management teams, prospective clients, and on panels regarding revenue recognition and lease accounting adoption approaches. For example, how to navigate this change properly, sensibly, and efficiently.

Recently, I was recognized as a “40 Under 40” honoree by Columbus Business First. I belong to the Ohio Society of CPAs, the AICPA, The Entrepreneurial Institute (board member), Design Outreach (board member and treasurer), the Central Ohio chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association (board member and treasurer), and the Builder’s Exchange (law and finance subcommittee member). I received my B.S. with an emphasis on accounting and marketing from Miami University.

I enjoy spending time with my family, playing sports, being outdoors, and traveling to the Outer Banks.
