Dan is a partner with Plante Moran’s Forensic & Valuation Services Group. He specializes in the valuation of closely held debt, equity securities, and intangible assets for a variety of purposes.

Dan is known for providing practical solutions to help clients achieve goals toward the valuation of intangible assets for financial reporting and the valuation of debt and equity securities for estate planning. He also actively participates in valuation engagement and workflow management. Most recently, Dan has been helping financial reporting clients consider the options available under the Financial Accounting Standards Board’s (FASB) new private company accounting pronouncements.

Dan holds the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) designations from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also holds the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation from the American Society of Appraisers. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University.
