Headshot of Jon Lanczak

Growing up, I spent my summers working on my family’s farm, which taught me the value of hard work at a young age. I believe this has been a key to my success.

Experience

As a principal in our senior care and living group, I focus on healthcare reimbursement for a wide range of healthcare and senior living providers. My goal is to ensure clients optimize their reimbursements from third-party payers such as Medicaid, Medicare, Medicare Managed Care, and other commercial payers. I serve clients across the healthcare industry, including skilled nursing facilities, continuing care retirement communities, senior living organizations, hospitals and health systems, and home care and hospice providers.

With a passion for helping clients navigate the reimbursement process, I find it very rewarding to help those who care for others, knowing my work will help both the organization and those they serve. Colleagues know me for having a steel-trap memory, recalling details from client engagements months or even years ago. Colleagues also know I’ll go the extra mile to make sure our clients’ needs are always met.

I have more than 15 years of healthcare experience and regularly provide the Michigan County Medical Care Facility Council with reports on key topics affecting the healthcare and senior living industries. Additionally, I frequently speak to clients, their boards, and at industry association conferences, such as the Healthcare Association of Michigan and LeadingAge Michigan, on current financial and healthcare reimbursement trends.

I’ve served the last two years as a captain for Plante Moran Cares — our grassroots philanthropic program — leading our office initiatives. I received my B.A. in accounting from Michigan State University and my M.B.A. from Walsh College.

When I’m not helping clients, I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with my family. My hobbies include hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, biking, and running.
