My clients appreciate that I seek answers to questions they haven’t yet asked in the pursuit of achieving their goals. I approach assurance services with a perspective gained from over 25 years of experience in the senior care and living sector, and I pride myself on proactively anticipating all possible scenarios.
Similarly, my approach to consulting engagements is oriented toward providing value. For example, with feasibility studies, I strive to provide timely, relevant information to help our clients determine if their project will achieve their goals, in addition to meeting all compliance requirements. When it comes to due diligence services, we let our clients know if they’re buying what they think they’re buying. I’ve worked as a chief financial officer, supported clients through acquisitions and sales, and provided financial and strategic consulting services. I also provide assurance services to many not-for-profit clients.
It speaks to Plante Moran’s client-centric approach that we build and keep long-term relationships. It means we’re doing right by our clients. I’m passionate about devising creative ways to meet client goals. I believe the long-term professional relationships are just as important with clients as with the members of my team. It’s just as good of a day for me when I help a client as when I help a colleague. I’ve been with Plante Moran since 1992, and I want to be an embodiment of the principles that attracted me to the firm. Around the office, I’m known for mentoring staff, and I’m proud of that.
The other relationships that keep me going are those with my family. I love spending time with my wife and two children, seeking new adventures, hiking, and exploring Northern Michigan.
I’m a member of the AICPA, the MICPA, LeadingAge Michigan, and the Health Care Association of Michigan. I received my B.S. in accounting from Michigan State University.
