Headshot of Sean Pattison.

In my sophomore year of college at Michigan State University, I tried out for the basketball team — I didn’t make it. Evidently, Tom Izzo thought I needed a little more work.

Experience

As a co-leader of the restructuring and transformation team, I work with companies to solve their most challenging and difficult problems, enhance their profit margins, and get them back on the course to success. I lead the Michigan-based team and the mobility restructuring team.

Within the M&D industry, I focus on clients in the mobility and automotive, consumer goods, food and beverage, and medical device sectors. They range in size from family-owned and operated middle-market companies to billion-dollar publicly traded companies.

I was attracted to this career because of the ability to work with a variety of clients and to help those clients solve their most complex issues. This is what I get to do every day — and it’s incredibly satisfying. My clients appreciate that my first goal is to understand their unique business challenges. Then I can bring all my experience to developing solutions tailored to their specific needs.

I’m a board member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and a member of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors. I received my B.A. in finance from Michigan State University, and I’ve been a proud Spartan ever since.

My wife, Lindsay, and I have three kids, so we stay busy with their school events and sports.
